My Saturday morning plan involved sleeping in, having a cup of coffee while catching up on what’s going on in the world (aka checking Facebook), then settling in on the couch to clear out this week’s shows off my DVR.

None of that happened.

My puppies woke me up at 6am. I went to the kitchen to feed my fat face, and I noticed that the three bananas I have were really ripe and turning brown. I couldn’t eat them all right then (despite what Trinh might tell you), so I thought I’d make the pups a nice treat.

To make Dash and Dot’s Maple Banana Dog Treats, you will need:

1 banana, mashed
2 1/2 cups of flour
1/2 cup of milk
1 egg
1 tablespoon of maple syrup

Mix the ingredients together, making sure to mash the banana into the dough. On a floured surface, roll the dough out into a long, tube shape, about the thickness of a banana. Cut the dough into 1 inch thick pieces.
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper, and bake for 40 minutes at 300 degrees.

Dash and Dot love these treats. Hopefully, your pups will too.
If they want something savory after eating these sweet treats, make your babies chicken jerky! They’ll love it!

I think I want to make some for me. Forget the dogs.
