The other day, I tried to put on one of my favorite hoodies, and the zipper broke!  Just because I’ve been stuffing my face and putting on a few extra pounds, doesn’t mean the zipper should split right open!  Sheesh, what a cheap sweatshirt!  I’ve only had it for eight years too.  Ha!

Since moving into the new home, I’ve been trying not to hoard so many things, but I have a very difficult time getting rid of things that could still be used.  One option was to keep the sweatshirt and wear it without zipping it up.  The other option was to make Boy an upcycled sweater out of the sleeves.   I decided to go with the second option since it’s been so cold.

Check out the video to see how I did it!  If you don’t have a sewing machine, you don’t have to finish the edges.  I ended up making him a second sweater with raw edges.  I also ended up cutting off the cuff of sleeve because it seemed a little too tight for his neck.

This old man looks pretty handsome and cozy if you ask me!  Remember, one man’s trash is another man’s treasure!
