This is supposed to be a breakfast recipe, but I ended up eating it for breakfast and as a dessert after dinner. Oh, and one more time later on that night after I did laundry (I felt like I “deserved” a reward for doing housework).
We don’t judge here.
The Blueberry Cream Cheese Bake is very easy to make. You can be creative and add different berries, sprinkle on powdered sugar, add walnuts, or top it with whipped cream.
Remember our motto: The sky’s the limit!
Here are the basic ingredients:
2 cups of blueberries
1 cup of milk
1/4 cup of butter
4 oz of cream cheese
1/4 cup of sugar
1/2 cup of maple syrup
2 cans of Pillsbury biscuits (7.5 oz cans)
1) Grease a 9×7 rectangular dish. Break apart the biscuit dough into small pieces; loosely line the bottom of the dish with the pieces of dough. Distribute half the blueberries on top. Put the remaining biscuit dough and blueberries in the dish so it’s layered.
2) Combine the eggs, milk, butter (melted), sugar, maple syrup, and cream cheese (cubed) in a mixing bowl. Pour the mixture over the dough and blueberries.
3) Cover with aluminum foil and bake at 375 degrees for about an hour. Make sure it cooks all the way through.
Top with maple syrup and enjoy!
