Do you want to build a snowman…and eat it too?
Would you like some Coronation Day Chocolates or Prince Hans’ Frozen Hearts? Can I offer you some of Kristoff’s Ice Blocks with Ice Berries? How about Sven’s Carrots and Love Experts’ Salad? Oh, and don’t forget to stop by Oaken’s Trading Post for some hearty goods too!
If you’re planning to throw a Frozen themed birthday party, here are some fun food ideas for you! These were all the menu items at my twin nieces’ 7th birthday party:
CORONATION DAY CHOCOLATES
Tie and curl blue ribbon around Hershey’s Milk Chocolate Nuggets, and you’ve got yourself some Coronation Day Chocolates!
HANS’S FROZEN HEARTS
These white and blue chocolate covered strawberries were made by my younger sister. Don’t they look amazing? You can get different colored chocolate at Michael’s (Wilton Candy Melts). Nuts, shredded coconut and sprinkles are usually available in the baking section of most grocery stores. Melt the chocolate, dip, and design. Practice makes perfect.
KRISTOFF’S ICE BLOCKS
My sister also made these rice crispy squares. Half were made the traditional way, and the other half was made with blue food coloring (add it when you melt the marshmallows). Then, layer them together and cut.
This fruit salad is super easy! Just buy two cans of longans (usually available at Asian supermarkets), and drain the syrup. Mix in a pack of blueberries, and look how cool this fruit combo looks!
Place baby carrots in a bowl, and label it Sven’s Carrots. Olaf’s Nose would work too, but we went with Sven since we were already using cheese puffs for the Do You Want To Build A Snowman snack station.
LOVE EXPERTS’ SALAD
Pick up a bag of ready-to-eat chopped Asian Salad, toss it in a bowl, and call it Love Experts’ Salad (it kind of looks like their hair).
OAKEN’S TRADING POST GOODS
Coming up with blue, white, or Frozen themed food ideas for the main menu can be difficult, so why stress over it? Whatever you plan on serving, just list it at Oaken’s Trading Post, and you can make anything work!
And check out the cake that my brother’s girlfriend made for the girls! Isn’t it adorable? Vanilla cake with KitKats bordering a pool of blue ice.
It was an amazing party, and my nieces were super happy!
Oh, and there’s our DIY Olaf Pinata!
