Halloween is just around the corner, and we’re getting into the spooky spirit!  Last week, my husband and I made a wooden Halloween sign.  Yesterday, Steel went to a pumpkin carving party and carved a mini pumpkin.  I was joking around and asked if I could have it.  He said yes!  Yay!  I’ll be painting a mini one for my Mom soon too!

Today, I made these little ghosts to hang around the house!  Oogie boogie!

These handmade ghosts were so easy to make!  It’s definitely one of the easiest and quickest Halloween craft projects ever!  They’re super cute and festive too!  It took me less than an hour to make and hang four of them.

To make your own little ghouls, all you need is: an old white t-shirt, scissors, cotton balls, a black Sharpie marker, a needle and fishing wire (or thread).  These were all items I already had in my craft box, so it didn’t cost me anything.  That’s just how I like it!

1) Cut the t-shirt into approximately 9×9 squares (don’t measure, just eyeball it).

2)  Place a cotton ball in the middle of the square fabric.  Flip it over, and bunch it at the neck.  String a needle with fishing wire, and poke it through the ghost’s neck.

3)  Wrap the wire around the neck twice.  Then, tie a knot.  Poke the needle from the neck through the top of the head.  Pull the wire all the way through.  This creates the string for hanging.

4)  Use a Sharpie to draw eyes and a mouth.

Hang them anywhere you want.  I hung one from our mailbox, doorknob, light fixture, and the corner of our roof.

Aren’t they cute?  Happy Halloween!
