Last week, we had the pleasure of attending a tasting event at Pistachio Kitchen in Monterey Park.  They serve authentic Asian cuisine with a blend of American sides. Where else can you get a bowl of pho and a side of fries? Or should we say phries?

The spread we had was insane – from rice plates, to noodle dishes, to cheese fries and tater tots! Everything was so good!

Highly recommended: Hainan Chicken, Steak N’ Pork Chop w/ Fried Egg & Pasta, Korean Short Ribs N’ Pork Chop w/ Tater Tots, and sadly not photographed, their Pad Thai. The Pad Thai was our favorite item!  The noodles were so perfect and the tamarind sauce was on point!  Sorry we were such pigs and ate before the camera got to it.

KOREAN BBQ SHORT RIBS, PORK CHOP, FRIED EGG & TATER TOTS

By the time we finished photographing everything, a lot of the food got cold. Their fish and chicken wings seemed like it would be good if it was hot. The wings had a nice salt and pepper flavor, and maybe even some lemon grass, which we love! Had this dish been fresh out the kitchen, it would probably be on our recommended list too, but we couldn’t truly tell.

The cheesy fries and tater tots we’re yummy too; you can’t really go wrong with that!  It was loaded with so much deliciousness!

If you’re in the Monterey Park area, you should definitely stop by Pistachio Kitchen. There’s something for everyone!  Lots of choices.
